Posted on April 13 2017
Spring has sprung! And back in January, through Fashion Week, we got to peek into the fun, future beauty trends for spring and summer 2017. Check out these 8 beauty trends you will be sure to see this spring and summer:
1. 80s Throwback Hair and Makeup
It's true, the best of the 80s is coming back in style. Models are sporting high pony hairs, rainbow glitter, neon colors, and bold eyeliner on the catwalk in 2017. With looks inspired by the likes of vintage Madonna and David Bowie.
2. The Subtle Cat Eye
A cool new take on the Cat Eye look. Using a small angled brush, apply a half flick at the corner of the eye. Soft, stunning, more kitten-like; it elongates the eyes without the heavy boldness of the Cat Eye.
3. Pretty Peach Cheeks and Lips
Recently the models at Jasper Conran sported apricot cheeks with a matching peachy lip stain that dazzled all who witnessed the look. Flawlessly perfect for all skin tones and optimum for the spring and summer wear.
4. Exotic Micro Braids
Beachy and bohemian, models at the San Andres Milano looked uniquely, island native beautiful with their tiny micro braids and wavy, beach-waved hair. Apply a wave-enhancing spray to your natural hair texture with tiny, random micro braids to get the look.
5. Long Claws for Nails
You may already be familiar with the claw nails look. But Rihanna recently killed it at her FENTY x PUMA show displaying her perfect claw nails. With dark colors, intricate rose engravings, and more. The claws trend surely isn't going anywhere anytime soon.
6. Low Simple Twisted Knot Bun
This trend helps us disguise 2nd or 3rd day hair. At the Jill Sander show, models looked classy and elegant with a simple, low, twisted, knot bun. It adds a bit of sophistication to any look.
7. Cute Boyish Brows
Thicker eyebrows are coming back as they appear more boastful, youthful and full. Any sculpting brow mascara wand will help achieve the faux thickness look as well as grooming the eyebrows.
8. Soft Shimmer Eyes
At Luisa Beccaria's spring/summer show, models displayed light-colored, shimmery, textured eyes. Lighter than sparkle, and more appropriate for the daytime too. Also pairs well with various skin tones.
