False Eyelashes: Clear Band or Black Band?

A pair of false eyelashes is a great way to really finish off a look, but here begs the question: Is it better to use lashes with clear bands or black bands? Is there even such a big difference between them?

Although one could say that one lash band is one hundred percent, without a doubt better than the other, it's really just a case of preferences (Hashtag Twilight moment?) and what sort of look you're going for!

For example, a clear band will make the lashes look a little more natural and effortless. A black band, on the other hand, looks similar to eyeliner. This makes for a slightly bolder or more dramatic effect. It is, however, easier to see mistakes when using black bands. Mistakes in alignment when using clear bands aren't very noticeable, and so are usually recommended to newbies in the false lash game.

So, which should you use?

Even though aligning the band to your real lash line takes a bit more practice and finesse, black banded falsies are great for ramping it up a touch for a fun girls' night out!

As mentioned, if you are not used to wearing false lashes, it may be wise to practice with clear banded falsies. Don't get me wrong, clear bands are not just for beginners! Plenty of seasoned lash wearers prefer clear bands over black ones!

Our conclusion: It seems that both black eyelash bands and clear ones have their own perks. If you're interested in wearing false eyelashes, you should really try them both at some point! You may find that you like one more than the other, or you might just switch between them on a weekly basis! Either way, we know that you're gonna look incredible. Just be sure to follow instructions when putting the falsies on, and you should be in the clear!

So get out there, hon, and lash it up!
